I can't overlook mentioning my business, Groovy Gnome Entertainment. One of my biggest hobbies is creating my own games. They don't need to be masterpieces; the process itself is incredibly enjoyable. Game development is a space where you can let your creativity run wild and think outside the box. It's a fantastic journey to see your ideas come to life.
I love bringing new ideas or interesting projects from a simple doodle all the way to a fully functional game. The process of learning and iterating from the initial stages to seeing it all come together is incredibly rewarding. I even ventured into crowdfunding with one of my games, hoping to secure the necessary resources to fully dedicate myself to its development. While the campaign may not have reached its funding goal, the journey of creating the initial game was an incredibly rewarding experience. From conceptualizing characters and environments to designing intricate game mechanics and systems, every step was filled with creativity and excitement.
I thoroughly enjoyed bringing characters to life through concept art, developing their personalities and unique traits. Animating them added another layer of depth, allowing them to interact dynamically within the game world. Additionally, crafting captivating environments was a joy; each scene was meticulously designed to evoke a specific mood or atmosphere.
In addition to the creative aspects, I delved into the technical side of game development, working on coding and implementing various gameplay mechanics and systems. It was a fascinating process of trial and error, refining and optimizing each element to ensure smooth and immersive gameplay.
