Welcome back to a new update! In the excitement of the first post, I felt like I couldn't wait to get started designing and planning our next steps and what to tackle first, luckily, I already have some good assets to support making a city enabling us to hit the ground running and faster realise our vision
The city doesn't have a name yet so it's been temporarily dubbed 'Zombie City'—catchy, right? 😆 As you can see, initial development progress has been promising. We now have a city that can be randomly generated, ensuring a unique starting point for characters each time. The road system and cars are up and running. Admittedly, some of these cars don't always follow traffic laws, but I'm working on it! I've also implemented volumetric fog to envelop the city and am exploring ways to incorporate a similar effect within the city itself. Ideally, this fog will dissipate as the character embarks on their adventure, adding to the atmosphere. It would be amazing if I could have the fog appear and worsen as the zombie outbreak begins but let’s focus on getting the basics in first!
